Do you have a Buckskin or a Buckskin bred horse and want to try something new in your horse show life? Well you’re in luck because there is the Illinois State Buckskin Association! It is a family oriented horse show association that still give you the breed show experience. They offer your normal stock horse classes including both English and Western disciplines. Beyond this, they provide Ranch Horse, Miniature, Buckskin Bred, and Open/All Breed classes. Their regional shows are located at The Heart of Illinois Arena, Peoria Illinois and their World Show is located at C Bar C Expo Center in Cloverdale, Indiana. Speaking of the World Show, you don’t have to qualify ever! You just have to be a member, make entries, and show up. All Buckskin stock horses, Buckskin Arabians, and Buckskin Morgans can be shown. Along with Buckskin horses who have a sire, grandsire, dam, or granddam who are IBHA registered can be registered and shown too!

ISBA has a Youth Team composed of their eighteen and under division. The Youth Team travels to the International Buckskin Horse Association’s World Show every year to compete with teams from other charters in competitions such as stall decorations, tournaments, and overall sportsmanship for the International Title.

Their other divisions include Open ISBA, Amature, Amature Walktrot, All Breed, Miniature, Ranch Horse, and All Breed! So everyone in your family can show and have fun. They also give High Point awards at every show and Circuit awards at their 4th of July Celebration!

The Illinois State Buckskin Association also has their Queen Cheyanne Bristol running for the International Queen Title at the World Show! Her job is to promote ISBA, IBHA, and the Buckskin Breed. We are looking forward to seeing how the rest of her queen journey progresses!

If you have any questions, would like to become a member/start showing, or would just like to get more information contact Tina Vincent, one of their officers, or Cheyanne Bristol via Facebook. There is also ISBA’s website linked below. Their next show is 4th of July weekend at Heart of Illinois Arena!
