NAWD Professional Ginger LaBarre

Ginger started her equine journey at the age of two and has been riding and showing since 1972. In 1988, she started full time training and instructing and in 1991, she purchased her own training facility that she continues to operate to this day in Pennsylvania.

Ginger shares that her philosophy has “a strong understanding of the classic old traditional training methods including Xenophon & Podhajsky”.

At her facility, Ginger offers training, instruction, sale preps, showing and in the last ten years she has concentrated on Dressage, Eventing, Reining, and Pleasure Driving. She is happy to work with all rider levels starting at age 9 and she particularly likes to specialize in helping amateurs and nervous riders succeed.

With her skills as a trainer, she has multiple lesson horses available. She has achieved MCE- University of Maryland Certified Examiner level 6 and is currently working on her USEA ICP, USDF and NAWD Judges license program.

Western Dressage Thoughts and Goals:

With her broad experience with numerous equine sports, and her current high level of activity in classical dressage and reining, Ginger knows there is a natural connection to Western Dressage from these two disciplines that she enjoys.

Her goal in Western Dressage is to help dispel or diminish the stereotype of Western being either Western Pleasure or yahoo rodeo type riding.

Along with her success in Traditional Dressage riding to USDF 4th level & USEA Advanced with scores above 65%, she has shown and coached Western Dressage and successfully received scores of >65% at all tests to Level 2 Test 4
